Happy Square Root Day

Have a look at the site with the clever name Geeks are sexy today! They celebrate the Square Root day, which happens only nine times per century, when the day and month is the the square root of the year. So today, when we have the 3rd of March, we celebrate the fact that 3×3 = the 9 in 2009. A bit far fetched?
Today is the third of nine square root days this century. The first was January 1, 2001 (1/1/01), then February 2, 2004 (2/2/04). Today is March 3, 2009 (3/3/09).
The last square root day of this century will be September 9, 2081 (9/9/81).
Please act responsibly on this nerdy holiday and do not drink and derive.
Put on your party dresses, uncork the wine and get your geek on. Today is 3/3/09.
Officially, that means it is Square Root Day, a holiday for math maniacs and other oddities who relish calendar quirks such as today, when the day and the month are the square root of the last two digits in the current year. Still not sure what I’m talking about? Think back to math class: Three is the square root of nine, meaning 3 x 3 = 9.
The last day Square Root Day was on 2/2/04 and the next one will be in seven years, on 4/4/16.
